DOSE Hair Limited operates from the CQC registered facilities at Harley Street Specialist Hospital 18-22 Queen Anne Street London W1G 8HU where Dr Sharon Wong consults.

Dr Sharon Wong is a renowned dermatologist specialising in hair loss and scalp health. She is dedicated to helping people feel confident in their hair. While Dr Wong doesn’t offer private consultations via DOSE, you can see her privately via her clinic  or find details about her recommended colleagues in the DOSE Directory.

DOSE is suitable for anyone aged 18 years or above, experiencing hair thinning or loss, regardless of gender. We offer a range of products designed for different needs, including formulations tailored for hair loss post-chemotherapy, traction alopecia and different kinds of facial hair loss.

However as all our DOSE products contain prescription medicines not all individuals may be suitable. Our online consultations have been designed to check if our products are safe and suitable for your use.

Our products are made to help with a range of hair concerns—including female and male pattern hair loss, post-chemotherapy regrowth, traction-related hair loss, excess shedding, and even sparse brows, lashes, and beards.

DOSE operates through a structured partnership model to ensure that all products and services meet the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical governance.

DOSE works in partnership with a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registered compounding pharmacy, Roseway Labs (GPhC registration number: [INSERT GPhC NUMBER]), located at [INSERT FULL ADDRESS]. Roseway Labs is solely responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and dispatch of all DOSE products. This partnership ensures that all medications are compounded and supplied in accordance with UK regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Clinical oversight and governance advice within the DOSE service is provided by Consultant Dermatologist and DOSE founder Dr Sharon Wong GMC 6104104. The Superintendent Pharmacist, Rupen Sedani, (GPhC number: 203455) is responsible for the overall governance of pharmaceutical services, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and maintaining patient safety standards.

Prescribing responsibilities are undertaken by an Independent Prescriber, Akila Dungawalla (GPhC number: 2063173) who is authorised to assess patient suitability and issue prescriptions for DOSE products where clinically appropriate. All prescriptions are reviewed and authorised in line with established clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.

This integrated structure ensures that DOSE operates within a robust clinical and regulatory framework, combining brand-led patient engagement with pharmacy-led dispensing and clinical governance. Together, DOSE and its pharmacy partner are committed to delivering safe, effective, and compliant healthcare solutions to patients.

If you have different kinds of hair loss, you simply take the online consultation as many times as you need to, and add the items to your basket.

Currently, we do not offer free samples of our products.

Our products contain a carefully curated selection of ingredients including varying combinations of medicines to promote hair growth including minoxidil, finasteride, melatonin, oestradiol, progesterone and bimatoprost depending on the specific DOSE product.

At the moment, DOSE is only available to purchase online through our website, we do not have physical retail locations.

DOSE can be used alongside hair extensions or keratin treatments. We recommend applying the product directly to your scalp, avoiding contact with your extensions or treated hair as much as possible. DOSE is designed to promote healthier hair growth without altering your natural hair colour or hair dye, but in isolated cases minoxidil could cause slight changes in hair colour when using hair care products at the same time, or after swimming in heavily chlorinated water. It is recommended not to use minoxidil for at least 24 hours before any hair treatment, including hair dye.

As all our DOSE products contain prescription medicines, unfortunately they cannot be used if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or family planning within the next 3 months.

The duration of use depends on the product and usage, but typically each DOSE 100ml scalp product lasts about 6-8 weeks with daily use and up to 3 months for Dose Beard, Lash & Brow.

Store DOSE products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Always keep the cap tightly sealed. Keep all DOSE products away from children and pets.

Follow the instructions on your product packaging. Typically, DOSE products are applied directly to the scalp or affected areas once daily. For the best results, use as directed on the label. Further information can be found in our product information leaflet.

You can continue using your regular hair care products. However, avoid using other hair loss treatments at the same time unless recommended by a healthcare professional.

DOSE products are free from common allergens, but we always recommend checking the full ingredient list on the product packaging or contacting us for specific concerns.

Yes, all DOSE products are vegetarian and cruelty-free. We do not test on animals.

“Unlicensed medicines” are products that have not gone through the full licensing process for mass-market use.
This does not mean they are unsafe. They are commonly used in healthcare when a licensed option is unavailable or
not suitable for specific needs.
For example, a medicine may be specially prepared in a different strength or format—such as a liquid version for someone who cannot swallow tablets—when no licensed alternative exists. In these cases, an unlicensed medicine allows treatment to be tailored safely to individual needs.
The medicine needs to be made up as a special product because it is not readily available in a specific formulation or
dosage. This is often the case for liquid formulations of medicines which only have a license for the tablet form.
