  • Are trying to conceive within the next 3 months
  • Have any open wounds, irritated, inflamed or sore skin or have had surgery in the last 6 months in the treatment area.

3 WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

All DOSE products contain medicines and are for external use only. Unlike taking tablets, topical use of medicines significantly reduces the risk of serious side effects, which are generally mild, temporary and or localised to the site of application. However, it is important that you familiarise yourself with all potential side effects relevant to your DOSE product.

GENERAL (applicable to all ingredients in DOSE products)

If you develop any signs of an allergic reaction (skin redness, itching, rashes, hives, burning) stop the treatment and seek medical attention from your doctor or pharmacist. In severe reactions (shortness of breath, wheezing, cough, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat) call emergency services (999) immediately.

BIMATOPROST

Itching, stinging or burning sensations of your eye, eye swelling, redness, skin discolouration around the eyes, darkening of the eye colour, blurred vision, crusting (may be signs of infection), vision problems, eye pain, seeing halos around lights; increased sensitivity to light; or feeling like something is in your eye.

CAFFEINE

Skin irritation, itching, redness, rash.

CYPROTERONE ACETATE

Skin rash, stomach upset, high blood pressure, changes in menstrual cycle, low mood; fatigue; gynaecomastia (enlarged breast tissue); liver disorders; hot flush; hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating); nipple pain; restlessness; weight change.

FINASTERIDE

Breast changes, nipple discharge, impotence, reduced libido, or trouble having an orgasm, abnormal ejaculation, low mood. Finasteride must not be handled or used by individuals who are pregnant or trying to conceive as the medication can affect the development of a male fetus. Individuals (assigned male or female at birth) should stop all Finasteride containing DOSE products if family planning within the next 3 months. Barrier contraception must be used during intercourse with a pregnant partner as traces of Finasteride may be present in semen when the medication is taken in tablet form.

MEDROXYPROGESTERONE

Headache, feeling sick, irregular bleeding or spotting between periods, weight gain, breast tenderness, feeling nervous or depressed, difficulty sleeping, higher body temperature, feeling dizzy, feeling tired, itchy skin, acne, changes to vaginal discharge, blood clots.

MELATONIN

Headache, low mood, daytime sleepiness, dizziness, stomach cramps.

MINOXIDIL

Facial hair growth, hair texture and colour changes, itching or swelling, rash. Initial hair shedding is common with Minoxidil as the medication speeds up the start of the next growth cycle by releasing old resting hairs that would naturally be shed. This increased shedding can vary in intensity but usually appears within 2-8 weeks of starting treatment and typically settles within 2-3 months without treatment. This is not an abnormal reaction and is an expected effect of Minoxidil. It is therefore important that you continue with your treatment as prescribed.

If you develop any of the following uncommon but serious side effects please stop the medication: headache, fast or irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, dizziness, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness, tingling or swelling of hands, feet or face, unexplained weight gain.

NIACINAMIDE

Skin rash, redness, itching, mild dizziness, sweating or chills, nausea, diarrhoea, leg cramps, muscle pain, insomnia.

OESTRADIOL

Bloating, breast tenderness or swelling, swelling in other parts of the body, nausea, leg cramps, headaches, vaginal bleeding, weight gain, blood clots.
